U.S. student loan debt has surpassed credit card and auto-loan debt, topping a whopping $1 trillion. Tuition, housing, meals and book fees have never been higher for today's young adult. The sticker price of studying and living on campus at the average public university rose 5.4% for in-state students, or about $1,100, to $21,447 this fall, the College Board estimated. For the top athletes over $1.5 Billion is awarded in athletic scholarships by the NCAA members last year alone. However, according to NCAA.org, only 2% of the 7 million high school athletes are awarded athletic scholarships to compete in college each year.
